VicRoads Roadside Vegetation Control

TMC enviro utes have been a familiar sight along the Calder Freeway and throughout the Macedon Ranges over the last few months, while roadside weed control for VicRoads have been undertaken. The treatment has included most of themain roads between Bendigo and Sunbury, with a high concentration of work conducted in the Kyneton, Woodend, Mount Macedon, and Riddles Creek areas.

Crews have been focusing on weeds such as St Johns Wort, Patersons Curse, Cape Broom, English Broom, Gorse, Blackberry and more.

Areas treated have included areas of High Conservation Significance, with crews employing a mixed methodology to protect significant native vegetation.
