Vegetation Management – Weed Control & Fumigation

TMC enviro are looking for up to 4 new employees to assist with vegetation management projects including weed control and fumigation. Successful candidates will have the skills and experience required to work across both weed control and fumigation projects.

Projects will be based in Central and North Western Victoria, commencing in the Bendigo region. Projects are expected to commence in September for a minimum of 4 weeks. Successful candidates will have the opportunity for ongoing employment thereafter within one of the various project services offered by TMC enviro.

Travel and working away will be required up to 5 days per week

Successful candidates will have the following certificates and licences;

  • Current manual drivers licence
  • White card (Occupational Health & Safety Induction card)
  • Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) or Chemical Accreditation
  • Provide First Aid
  • Road Traffic Management

Responsibilities may include;

  • Identification and treatment of noxious and environmental weeds
  • Identification of native vegetation
  • Weed mapping
  • Warren fumigation

Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience;

  • Minimum of 6 months of practical experience in Vegetation Management
  • Demonstrated weed identification skills
  • Demonstrated native vegetation identification skills
  • Demonstrated practical experience in grass identification
  • Demonstrated practical experience in warren fumigation
  • Demonstrated track record of working safely
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment
  • Fit energetic with a good work ethic
  • Project management and experience leading a team will be an advantage

*Candidates who are successful after interview will be required to complete pre-employment medical assessment including a drug test, and must provide a minimum of two referees.
